About

I’m a PhD student researching evolution caretaker at a private bonsai garden and what little life I have left my entire life now, I spend on bonsai. I first got into the hobby when I was eight years old and purchased a small juniper bonsai and Amy Liang’s excellent book, the Art of Bonsai. Ever since then I’ve been captivated with the art and have started and restarted every few years or so. This most recent bout has lasted four or five years and shows no sign of stopping. I’ve had the good fortune to study with several accomplished teachers and at this point have just started to feel like I know haven’t a fucking clue what I’m doing.
